Walking among 11,000 olive trees near Ancona

Courier M and his three canine charges spent Friday night at a rural hotel near Ancona in Italy. Sammy, Robbie and Aqapi enjoyed walking among the 11,000 olive trees in the grounds, with Robbie in particular enjoying all the enticing smells.

The olives will be harvested in a month or so, pressed and converted into award-winning olive oil and other delicacies, sold at the shop on the premises.

Yesterday morning it was just a short drive to Ancona port, where Animalcouriers boarded the ferry to Greece.

  1. From olives trees in Italy to not an olive branch of peace in sight in Syria, Animal Couriers travel on with their charges. Safe travels and may the peace of those trees be a reminder that world peace is possible – even in the Middle East. Our hearts are heavy for the losses of life there.
