All the cats on board the Animalcouriers trip to the UK seem to be taking travelling in their stride.
Oscar and Max are well travelled cats, who earlier in their lives moved from the middle east, where Charlotte had rescued them from a sanctuary.
“Well, Max, where to today,” says Oscar. “I think I can see the Swiss Alps,” replies Max. “Ah, the Matterhorn, the skiing, the après-ski,” muses Oscar, off in a world of his own.
“Did someone mention the Matterhorn?” asks Bugsy. “I think skiing might be a bit energetic for me. I’m more or a ‘siesta in the sun’ kind of a guy.”
“Have you seen The Maltese Falcon?” asks Szmelowina. “My great, great, great grandad starred in it with Humphrey Bogart!”
Takeoff, seen here, and Tracy are both local to northern Italy and know a bit about the local wine. He tells us that the wines of Biella are splendid, in particular ‘Erbulance di Caluso’, a locally grown and bottled white.
Sleepyhead Georgie fancied a bit of a lie-in this morning…
…while Zippy joined in the banter: “The ancient walled city of Siena! Rapallo! And who knows what awaits us in Oxford!” Then, as Zippy continues his quest to lead the expedition out of their compartment, another quick check of the bolt on their door — is it perhaps just a little bit loose? No Zippy, it’s very tightly closed!
