Penelope and Lucy, polar opposites

Animalcouriers reached the pretty Spanish seaside town of Almunecar last night, just in time to catch up with these two beautiful felines.

“Oooh, visitors!” cried redhead Penelope, rushing up to meet us and twining herself around courier J’s legs. “Where have you been, we’ve been waiting ages, it’s lovely to see you,” she continued.

“Not bloomin’ likely,” said Lucy, going completely grey at the thought of visitors. She rushed up to the top of the stairs where she sat growling and scowling, while courier J tried all the tricks she knows to befriend a grumpy cat.

No two cats from one household could be more different!

  1. Hi Dianda,

Sorry, we’re not sure what breed of cat Lucy is – she’s certainly very stunning, if a little grumpy at the moment. We hope that Lucy’s owner might be following the blog and will be able to answer…

  2. Hi, I’m Jessica, Lucy’s owner. When she was given to me as a present by my lovely ex-boss five years ago, I was told she was a cross between a persian-angora. She has a lovely nature but gets really scared when she’s not familiar with a situation. She is a one person cat and likes all the attention for herself, quite a madam!
    Best wishes, Jesssica

    • Hi Jessica, thanks for letting us know. We were sure there was Persian in her but the face wasn’t right. She’s a perfect mix of the two. Lucy is quite right to be suspicious! Not long before the indignity of travel will be over.

  3. Lucy and Penelope have arrived in London safely. I just wanted to say a big thanks to the team at Animal Couriers, I am very impressed with the fantastic service. I strongly reccommend the service you provide. Best wishes, Jessica

  4. Hi Jessica, you and your girls must be happy to be back together again. Hope you’re all settling into good routines. Keeping warm will no doubt he high on the agenda in their new country but they both look to have the perfect coats to cope with the change.

  5. Yes, we are settling into new routines very quickly they have been eating, sleeping and exploring, they seem happy…and not botheres about the weather. Lucy heard my voice from outside the van when they arrived and started to miau, I opened the cage and picked her up, she was purring the whole time…thanks again from Penelope, Lucy and Jessica xxx
