Cockerpoo to Bermuda

This is Millie — a Cockerpoo or Cockerdoodle! That’s a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle by the way. There are also Jackadoodles (Jack Russell/Poodle) and Labradoodles (Labrador/Poodle). They are special cross-breeds designed to produce non-allergenic dogs.

Unlike other dogs, poodles don’t shed their fur, so are suitable for families with allergy sufferers who would otherwise be unable to have a pet in the house. By crossing a poodle with these other breeds you usually get the allergy-free aspect of the poodle and the lively character of the other breed.

Millie had the fun and bounce of a Cocker coupled to the quick intelligence of a poodle. We had her with us for a few days before she flew off to Bermuda to join her new family, and she kept us busy and amused. Our own dog Amber became a substitute mother for a few days.

L was able to tell Millie’s new owner: “Millie was wonderful — she is a confident little lady. Not a murmur when I took her to the airport — even when I said goodbye to her there was not a backward glance, as the lady at the Animal Reception Centre was making an awful lot of fuss of her.”

Millie’s owner let us know of her safe arrival: “What a ball of fire! Millie is doing great. We are crazy about her, the kids are the only ones who can keep up with her. Once again, thanks a million for looking after her, and give Amber a kiss from us for playing with her and being her chew toy. I will recommend Animalcouriers to everyone.”
